Halucinated By A Police Officer!

My eyes blinked as I regained consciousness. I had hit my head hard, or had someone hit me. Then I realised, I was holding a bloody knife and my hands initially seemed to be incredibly heavy, and was numb indeed, since I was lying down and probably my right hand was static for a while, in an unusual slanted position. Eventually, I was able to sense my hand, which in turn encouraged this notion, that my hand has started witnessing mobility. There was blood all over the frontal side of my head, and it felt like, it did dry off gradually. I certainly didn't knew anything in relation to the loss of my consciousness, because probably, I was unable to gather the incident, which would help me recreate or recollect any chain of events, however I didn't surrender, thereby attempting to get to the bottom of what exactly happened, but unfortunately didn't manage to get any luck, and in this process of restrospection,
my mind got shackled in such a manner, that visiting a nearby hospital never crossed my entangled thoughts, nevertheless, I tried hunting for someone who can get me to a nearby hospital, as I was struggling hard to move around, and had developed immense fatigue. I was still wondering about the knife, which was in my possession, and owing to which I was trying relentlessly to work on my memory, but unfortunately nothing seemed relative.
Suddenly I encountered a police vehicle which stopped by, and one of the officers came out, and he initially confiscated the knife, and fortunately offered help, by lending his arms on my shoulder, thereby getting me equipped inside their vehicle. The officer spoke to me in such a manner, as if he knows me from ages, and I was completely illusioned with this acquaintance, since I barely even remembered anything since inception. The entire conversation seemed very bizarre, because the officer kept on conversing with me like a close friend and a philosopher indeed, and it only stopped, till we reached the hospital. I was admitted in the emergency centre, and without any further probes, they started treating me, through certain aids, and in turn sent me for a MRI detection. It seemed that consciousness was having an ardent desire to part ways with my body momentarily, since I about to enter an anaesthetic state , once my scan was duly completed, since certain clots were fiund, which were identified by the doctor, owing to which it had to examined, thereby leading to a nerve fixation, and initially significant amount of blood had drained out as well. Eventually, I again regained consciousness, and that moment was astounding to the core, and unknowingly I first started reinstating my memories which collapsed ,with respect to my identity. I was a crime reporter with CDX communications, and have indeed been instrumental in fair and inferential reporting as per historic data. I asked the doctor, if he could precisely comment on my arrival to the hospital. The doctor replied stating " We have informed not to disclose any identity, but he was cooperative enough to state that the person belonged to an enforement agency" My head was bandaged all over , nevertheless my passion towards journalism, drove me to an extent, wherin I immediately spoke to the hospital authorities, that I need to report back to the suspected crime location. One of the doctors asked me a question "Can you tell me more about this incident" and in turn replied that " I had been halucinated by one of the officers , and was about to get hitten badly by a baton and to some extent, managed receiving a blow on my head, and in my strongest defense, the brawl went to an extent, wherin I snatched a knife, which was held by a different enforcement officer, to attack in my defense, but unfortunately by that time, I lost consciousness, since I was completely drugged, and the substance did prevail within me during my unconscious, which was around two to three hours. The officer drugged me heavily with one of the psychoactive drugs, which can lead you to unconsciousness for hours or even days as well and inturn may lead a temporary memory loss" I was apparently lucky enough to regain consciousness in a couple of hours. My head felt quite heavy internally because of the injury, but I insisted to report back to the location, since I had to give all my work evidences and submissions to my news channel.
Initially the doctors were reluctant to let me go, however I insisted that I would take utmost care of myself, post which I would again come back, incase of any health complications, else I would go home, and that made me sense an element of conviction in the doctor, and I left the hospital immediately. I boarded an unreserved cab, and headed towards the crime scene. I eventually reached the crime scene, and I was relentlessly trying to spot a hard disc which I found before, and in the meanwhile, I received a call from my cheif editor stating that "You won it, all the suspects have surrendered themselves to the police officials, and it was because of the hard disc which you handed over the police personnel, which in turn made me startled" I was baffled to a different level altogether, and was continuing to ask myself as in how is this even possible, since it was the police officer himself, who hit me hard with a baton and drugged me, and all he was trying to accomplish was the destruction of that hard disc, which he ideally would have snatched later from my document bag. The police personnel was involved in giving a free rope to this dangerous mafia which was operating since a couple of months, and the involvement of the police was indeed captured in the hard disc, which was a result of one of the sting operations conducted by me on a reliable stranger.

I felt a sense of accomplishment, though it was backed by an element of inquisitivity and was bewildering as well. I suddenly started feeling dizzy, and thought of going back to the same hospital. I reached the hospital and the doctor checked me again and instructed me to lye down for a while , and in turn gave some medicines. He in turn, stated that the person who bought you here, was the same police officer, who hit and drugged you, and by the time, he bought you here, he was already ashamed of himself, and wanted to confess, so the first thing he did was picking you up from the crime spot and dropping you to the hospital, and secondarily, he submitted the hard disc to his higher legal authorities, which proved the various suspect's criminal activities, and it also involved an episode of his involvement, in protecting one of the leaders of the mafia, rather than destroying the evidence. The doctor continued narrating, that the police officer didn't wanted him to disclose his identity, and he also stated that, he would ensure that the entire gang gets arrested immediately with no trials, and one last thing he stated was " I would resign from my services" and would be ready to face any charges against me!

I had a smile on my face and acknowledged the doctor with a " Thank You "
