Do we have a second chance?
“Ab tum kya karoge..??”

Some question seems to be easy at first look but they require really a deep introspection to be answered. The answers to these seem a cakewalk if you are already working on some prefixed plans or some kind of a layout, basically a mind map that you have to developed to achieve your goals. ‘But’ there’s always a but in most of the things of a mediocre life. So, the but in my life was what I was going through. That but was what if I did not get selected in the apprenticeship course at Tata Motors. How it all started is some other story for some another day when this overthinking mind of the mid-twenties bachelor or should I call myself “an unemployed bachelor”. I don’t why I have this annoying habit of adding an adjective just to make it more intense……

“Snap snap…”

“Hey Mr. Pritam overthinker”, she called me always when I generally get lost in my mind palace talking to myself.

I don’t know, I just want to lay on my bed and cry my heart out (yes boys do cry we also have emotions a hell lot of them) I replied and left the bench which was at the bank of Jayanti Sarovar. Priya and I generally meet there for our evening talks. She was my only school friend who was in town at that moment. Besides preparing for UPSC civil services exams, she was also my chai sutta buddy during those days. I did not have much options left as the only plan whose success would lead to the commencement of some other plans was a disaster. My only plan during those days was to get a job at Tata Motors. And I got rejected at the apprentice level entry. Feeling depressed and devastated I headed home and slept early.

This might seem dramatic and a typical filmy setting but that was true oh I still remember that day. Having faced the worst of the realities that one might have never imagined one’s life at that point making a new plan to work on from that point is really a tough job getting yourself out of the comfort zone and pushing you through the extreme limits. And here comes the magical word “but” (works both the ways) but when you fail certain things remember there is something much more valuable of much more worth is waiting for you.

So, here I am siting in front of this batch of mangers at Tata Motors Ltd. At the Steelinium hall at Jamshedpur giving a brief intro and sharing a gist of my success story I hope You would like it.

Clapping all-round the auditorium with my mom and Priya sitting next to each other at the front row with tears of joy at their smiling faces that had made my day

Pritam- FYI, I later on met that HR Personale who took my apprentice interview and asked the why I wasn’t selected for the apprentice post they told me that I was overqualified.

So, this was the end of a short conversational story of Pritam who got rejected at one organization and then also he worked hard and joined the same at a much Personal better position than he wanted to be in... feeling depressed about your bad results yet? Sometimes in life we a set back or we lose some battles we might not have the answers to the questions ab kya karoge, during these dark times you just have keep yourself focused and composed and not to lose hope. Things will work but it might take a while or it might be some other ways of it to happen. And you just have to believe that your plan has been designed by the mastermind. so i guess answer to the title of this story is yes and how we perceive that chance to be is also an important aspect...

P.s.-"Based on true events"
