Mama's Cry

"But there's is not enough time to love forever." I barely cried out. "Where are they!"
"Shh-shh...Forever is...beyond life... itself..." she whispered, simultaneously expiring for the last time.
My heart pounded vigorously. A whirl of emotions and thoughts emerged in me, "That can't be the end! We haven't gone to our dream city- Paris. Nor have we picked out my wedding dress together. She has to tell my future kids embarrassing stories about me. I can't let her go just yet. This is all my fault."
I always knew time would have its way but I never thought of how soon.
I watched my mom swim in the almost vacant pool with her new husband with content. I've never seen her this happy ever since my step brother, Zac, was born three years ago.
"Gina! Come swim with your brother!" she squirmed, as Harry tickled her mercilessly. "Harry and I are going... to eh... check out.. eh... what's available for dinner. Yeah."
