Done
Sometimes in life we find ourselves holding on.
Choosing to keep believing.
To keep hoping that, that person we love so much will somehow, someday stop doing the things they do, that drive us crazy and utterly insane.
We choose to hold on tight, to the belief that they hurt us the way they do, because we just never seem to do things the right way, which by the way is the way they want things to be done.
And that if we could strive to be all that they wish us to be and more, then maybe, just maybe they will for once appreciate us for who we truly are.
And yet, no matter how hard we try, they almost always have something negative to say about everything we do.
It doesn't even take that much to please God, for goodness sake!
Anyway at this point, we have to finally decide.
Whether loosing our minds in our quest to please them is worth our while.
Or maybe we can finally have some peace of mind in our lives, by simply choosing us over them.
And so the choices as always is ours, to choose to be our imperfect yet happy selves, or to strive to be "perfect" yet miserable within.
I hope to choose the former in the coming days as I finally get out of this toxic cycle once and for all.
I hope you choose you too.
