NBA agents often get a certain percentage of the deals they complete for their players. The average player’s salary is over $8 million dollars a year. An agent could take home 10% or more of that value.

Michael is sitting down with Micheal Jones and his family. "Jones, I'm here to talk to you about your future in the NBA. I believe that you have the potential to be one of the top players in the league.

And I want to help you achieve your dreams."

Micheal's father nods his head."We're listening."

"Jones, I know that you're loyal to your coach and your school. And I respect that. But I also know that you're a competitor. And you want to win."

I'm confident that I can deliver. I have a proven track record of success. I've helped dozens of players make the leaque and I've helped many of them go on to win NBA championships."

"I can do the same for you, Jones."

Jones looks weary, "I appreciate the offer, Michael. But I need to think about it." "Of course Jones, take your time. But when you're ready to talk, I'm here." Michael stands up and shakes Jones's hand.

[Jones thought about the day when he should have attended basketball practice after a high school game. But, Instead went to a strip club. He did so because he felt like his coach at the time was trying to make sure he did not show favoritism to the young kids.]

[And as a result he swung completely in the total opposite direction. All he did was pick f--king splinters out of his ass on the bench! The only time that his number was called, happen when someone got hurt.

So he went to a strip club with his buddies and they got into a fight with some local hood rats,

cuz, they hit on his girl.

After the incident, one of the dudes had to be transported to the hospital by ambulance.

He hope that particular incident would not come back to bite him in the ass later on in his career.]

........

Micheal thought about Jones. He knows that he won't be able to pressure Jones into making a decision right away. But he's confident that he will eventually choose him as his agent.

Networking:

NBA-ran events, games, and even social media can be very promising avenues to build a professional network in this industry.

Knowing the right people makes this much easier to do. For example, networking can land you a job at a firm where you can fall back on the company’s solid relationships and reputation to get your foot in the door.

Victoria is meeting with Kevin Durks and his family. "Kevin, I'm here to talk to you about your future in the NBA. I believe that you have the potential to be the number one pick in the draft. And I want to help you achieve your dreams."

Kevin's father says, "We're listening, Victoria."

Victoria eagerly states, "Kevin, I know that you are ambitious and confident. And you want to be the best player in the league." That's why I'm here today. I believe that I can help you achieve your goals.

I have a proven track record of success. I've represented some of the biggest names in the NBA. And I can do the same for you, Kevin."

........

Kevin's mother hesitantly, "We're interested, of course Victoria. But we need to know more." Do you have my son best interests at heart?

"Of course Mrs Starr, I'm happy to answer any questions you might have."

Victoria spends the next hour answering Kevin and his family's numerous questions.

She tells them about all her experience, her many NBA connections, and her plans for Kevin's career. She also tells them about the money and endorsements that Kevin can expect to earn if he signs with her agency.

Kevin getting impatient, "I'm impressed, Victoria. But I need to think about it." "Of course Kevin,Take your time. But when you are ready, just give me a call. Victoria stands up and shakes Kevin's hand.

She knows that she'll have to compete with other agents for Kevin's signature.

But she's confident that she can convince him that she's the best agent for him. And in the process earn a nice hefty paycheck. Michael and David are also eager and determined to sign Micheal Jones and Kevin Durks to their own

agencies.

That being said, many agents work for firms, and the agent’s firm will take a potentially large percentage of those commission amounts.

Ultimately, NBA agents can make a ton of money.

But the exact figure depends on the clients they represent, the deals they arrange, and also whether they work for themselves or an agency.

All three sport agents know that these two players are the potential future of the NBA. And they want it so bad for them. To be a part of their success. Michael has been representing Micheal Jones since he was a high school sophomore.

He has helped Micheal develop his skills, navigate the recruiting process, and choose the right college. And now, Micheal is one of the top college basketball prospects in the country, and he is projected to be a top lottery pick in the upcoming NBA 2024 draft.

Michael knows that Jones is a special player. He is also a loyal client. But when Eddie Mack, one of the most powerful sports agents in the world, comes knocking, Jones starts to waver.

Eddie offers Jones a lot of money and promises to make him a superstar.

He is tempted by Eddie's offer. But he is also kinda conflicted. He likes and trusts Michael, his longtime agent. He also knows that Michael has his best interests at heart.

Jones decides to talk to Michael and Eddie to get their perspectives. He wants to make an informed decision about his future.

Jones is being visited at his home by Michael and Eddie. "Guys, I'm glad to talk to you about my future in the NBA. I'm grateful for both of your offers. But I can only sign with one of you."

Michael sympathizes, "I understand, Jones. I just want you to know that I'm here for you. I'm committed to helping you achieve your dreams."

Eddie agrees, "Me too, Micheal. I believe that I'm the best agent for you." I have the most experience, the ability, and the resources to help you become a superstar."

Jones is exasperated, "I appreciate that, Eddie. But I also know Michael's loyalty and commitment. He's been with me since the very beginning. And he's helped me become the player I am today."

Micheal says, "I'm glad I could help, Jones. And I'm confident that I can continue to help you in the future."

Eddie interjects, "I understand that you have a close, buddy type relationship with Michael. But I want you to think about what's best for your career.

I can offer you a great deal more money.

Endorsements worth so much money it'll make you find religion. Yes, much, much greater opportunities than Michael can offer.

Jone's face is flush, "I know, Eddie. And that's a tempting offer. But I also need to consider my close relationship with Michael. He's more than just my agent. He's my friend."

Eddie isn't deterred, "I understand. But, listen, friendship doesn't always mix well with business."

Jones responds, "I know. But I'm willing to take that risk." Jones stands up and shakes Michael's hand. He then shakes Eddie's hand.

Jones gratefully says, "Thank you both for your offers. I'll let you know what I decide." He walks out of the room, leaving Michael and Eddie alone. Michael exclaims, "I thought we had a deal, Eddie."
