How I found the light

Write a short story from your past that involves light or darkness in some way.
Majority of my life has always consistent being confined to the night and torture of darkness.
Being abused, sexually, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and severely damaged mentally. Not able to climb out of the cell, whar was suppose to be my unlit tomb.
If not for God. His love and protection over me. The guidance he showed me. How to direct my life journey up until now. I would still be enslaved.
But, when I read his word one day. I learned a valuable lesson. The difference between darkness and light.
God says he is the light that will bring you out if the darkness. The saying What you do in the dark will come to the light. Proves to be true.
To continue to be in peace in my life. I will continue to follow the LIGHT.
