I asked, “Now Mr Mark, can you tell me when you had last visited Elsa before that murder.”
“Three days before the murder.”
“Anything strange you noticed?”
“Yes there was something that makes a lot sense now.”

I asked, “What is that thing?”
“When we were talking, Elsa suddenly asked me to look out of window and said if I can see any person out there in her garden. But honestly I didn't saw anyone. When later I asked her what's matter, she told me that some person with dark glasses, a mask and black coat is stalking her.”

“What?”, I said with surprise.
“Yes someone was stalking her. But nobody except her ever saw him.”
“Didn't her husband do anything?”
“He also tried to catch that unknown stalker but failed. Later is seemed like Elsa was just hallucinating. But now I believe that the same person is behind the murder.”

I signed and said, “Do you have any other information about that unknown person?”
“Unfortunately nothing. No one except Elsa ever saw him”, he replied with disappointed expression.

I asked him Mark to give his and Elsa's lawer’s contact no and address. Next morning I fixed an appointment with Elsa’s lawyer, Jake McCourt. He was a tall man with green eyes and about thirty years old. When I went to meet him, he said, “You're are probably Steve Lenoir. Please have a seat.”

I sat and said, “Thank you. Now Mr McCourt, can I ask you what progression you have made in case of Elsa Brent.”
“She is a failure. There is no way, I can prove she is not guilty. She has admitted herself that she killed her husband.”

“It maybe because she is trying to protect the real killer due to some reasons.”
“Yes Mr Lenoir, I also believe the same but the problem is how will I prove it. She herself doesn't want to get acquitted.”

“In your view, what do you think who is the murderer.”
“There are many people. But in my opinion, it's the same man who sent you here...”

“You mean Mark, her cousin is the real killer?”, I asked.
“Yes.”
“But why you think that?”
“Because when I was researching Elsa's family, I found only Elsa's husband and her cousin were her close relatives. Now since her husband is dead who could be other person who she is trying to protect?”
“Yes you are right” I said. Later me and that lawyer Jake McCourt, went to meet Elsa.

When I saw her, I felt like I am seeing a corpse who is still breathing...
