Selfless Love
So during the weekend I was privileged to have attended the memorial service of a great man.
One of the elite engineers in my country.

I do not know the man personally, only that he was one of my nephew's inlaw.

And he has been part of the team of elites in designing some of the infrastructure in the country.

At the memorial a few testimonies were presented reflecting the life of this great man, most of which were about his service towards the poor, the needy and the sick.

How he was always putting the concerns of others before his personal life.

His education and wealth didn't matter most when it came to serving people who were in need, paying little attention to luxury.

Present at the memorial were all these people whom he had helped and changed their lives for the better, all paying their last respect to the man who gave selflessly.

His acts of kindness and giving will always be remembered and spoken off.

So this reminded me of a scripture in the Holy Bible.
Matthew chapter 19 verses 16 and 21.
Talks about a richman asking the Saviour.
He asked, " Teacher, what must I do to have Eternal life?"

Jesus answered, "...go sell all your belongings and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven and follow me."

So this inspires me to be part of the change in ordinary lives, it may not always be in such a big way.
A change even in a small way will always go a long way.
