BLoG: Life Lessoms
Life lessons, where do I start I have had so many. It's all about taking chances, making mistakes and gaining experience. Life lessons are a blessing in disguise. Many times they are a hard pill to swallow, but we must get through them in order to appreciate them or to benefit from them. One of the biggest life lessons is that life as fragile as it is, it is a precious gift that we must grasp onto with both hands.
As a Traumatic Head Injury survivor, I know just how fragile life is and how quickly life can change. One must count their blessings as life is not guaranteed. You only have today, truly. Tomorrow has yet to come and is not promised. It was my car accident that taught me such a difficult life lesson. In an instant I was injured, blinded and bleeding profusely. It all happened in a matter of seconds that someone ran a red light sending me into an experience from hell. Long story short, I am blessed to be alive.
Life lessons come from any direction. You must keep your head on a swivel. Though we may not always be prepared for life lessons, we are very adaptable and capable to handle them as they come. We are magnificent creatures in that instance or sclesson. We are resilient. Never doubt yourself or count yourself out. We were born with the ability to manifest our own destiny. As for myself, I was able to come back from tremendous adversity. I endured the pain and what life chose to throw at me. I did not let it stop or hinder me. Though injured life did not end so it was vital that I continued to step forward.
Life lessons can tear you down, break you up, but inevitably, should you survive, they make you stronger. I have endured such life lessons and they have reinstilled in me a passion and zest for life. I see life through reborn eyes. I hold on to what I LooVe most and I give thanks to God for all I have and what he has done for me. What hasn't killed me has made me stronger. I certainly have a different outlook on life. Inevitably, we must take 1 day at a time. It's great to plan for tomorrow, but more importantly, you must live for today. It is here and now that you exist. One thing is for certain there will always be life lessons. Life is full of them.
So put your best foot forward! That is all we can really do. It's a choice in life! In doing so, you open yourself to the best life has to offer. Smile and be happy!!! Only you can make a difference in the direction of your life. Be well and take that step. Let this be a life lesson for you. Take time to stop and smell the flowers, breathe, and give thanks for that breath of life. I give thanks and am grateful for every day and everything I have. Simply because once I was lost, then I was found. By the grace of God I was able to come back from a hard life leason.
