The End
A little over a while ago, I had seen her leave that dreadful building.
Even now my chest felt heavy, almost as if a stone was where my heart was supposed to be. I wasn’t sure why but I needed validation. It was too delicate a situation that I couldn’t outright trust my eyes.

So I lay down in doubt. Hoping the worst would turn out to be just another nightmare. Yet the amount of detail, the intensity of my feelings and the tears rolling down my cheeks all assured me this was real. I wasn’t going to wake up from it.

I waited.
I knew it was going to be a couple of minutes before her arrival. Yet time seemed to mock me. The seconds in-between grew infinitely, never ending, letting me endure the pain down the very core of my being. I swear to you, I’ve been through all kinds of pain, but only love can hurt like this.

Just then the door creeked, interrupting my train of thought. That was a good sign, hopefully. Many horrors had been laying in suspense, it was about time I uncovered it all.
