Shreya was feeling something wasn't right when she looked into Tushar's eyes..But she was 7 months pregnant, it was not easy for her to do something on her own. About 2 years ago, Tushar and Shreya's families arranged their marriage.. Tushar was a mill-worker, shreya was housewife. Everything was running smoothly, They were a happy family, their happiness became increased when Shreya got pregnant. One day, while talking with Tushar , Shreya casually said him,"I hope it is a girl, I will name her Tisha and smiles".. Suddenly, Tushar became angry, he shouted," what! Never, It must be a boy,keep that in mind!".. She tried to explain him that how would she know if the child is a boy or not.. Tushar said, "you don't have to,I will find out myself!".. Shreya thought it was just random words, she had no clue what will happen in her future! Slowly time passed, Tushar didn't say anything more but Shreya could feel it that something wasn't right..If she could she would definitely go to her father's house but she very well knew her family couldn't afford her to stay with them, they were very poor.. Again, one day Tushar himself came to her and started talking! Shreya was very happy cause he didn't talk with her for quite a time.. After talking about random things, Tushar again politely said her," please assure me that it's a boy,I will make your life even happier just tell me it's a boy!".. Shreya couldn't bear anymore, she shouted how the hell on this earth,she could say it's a boy or not?? And what if it's a girl?? Tushar shouted too and said," you know everything,you just don't want it to be a boy, I am warning you last time,make sure it's a boy and I will spare you otherwise..!!" Then he went outside angrily.. It was almost time for delivery, Shreya couldn't move around, she was completely in bed rest then.. Tushar came early that day from his work.. Shreya heard his voice and saw he brought  her favourite sweets for her! She was happy and she ate them. She didn't know there were sleeping pills inside the sweets! She fell asleep and when she woke up, she saw she was tied to the bed ! She tried to shout then realized he tied her mouth too.. She began to cry but she was helpless. She saw Tushar was saying,"I have no choice,you make me to do this!" He put up the knife and ripped apart her belly! Shreya felt a sudden pain, she screamed at her loudest and became senseless! But all came out some muffled moaning through her tied mouth. Tushar didn't see anything else, he was trying to find the baby to check if it's a boy or not!! He had no idea where was the baby?? He was searching inside her belly! He saw the stomach and thought there would be the baby so he ripped open the stomach but there was no baby inside! Their neighbour heard that muffled noise and went to check.He knocked at the door many times but no one opened the door though he could hear Tushar is screaming in disappointment! He called the police then. Police came and broke the door and with shudder they saw Tushar was still searching for the baby inside her body!! When they took him to the police station and started to interrogate him, Tushar started to shout at them by saying,"You have no rights to arrest me! I am the father, Do I have no right to know about my baby?? All I asked her to assure me it's a baby and she denied!! Then I have to do something,I have no remorse for what I did!!" Shreya was taken to the hospital, but she bleeded too much ,her organs were hanging out of her body! Doctors had nothing to do that late then and she died..
Many people still believes that woman is responsible for sex determination and that's the reason these type of inhumane incidents still take place..No matter it's girl or a boy, not mother it's the father whose sex chromosome is responsible for the child's sex..If you are thinking you know this all, well you are right but those who don't know their percentage is much higher and concerning..It's a proof why basic sexual education and awareness is important..
