The virus spread far and wide, eliminating everything that stood in its way.
unaware of these things a one and half years old mili was crying.Her mother nurse Lisa was getting ready to go to hospital in the early morning.Before going to hospital she used to check emails of her husband from the military camp.six months before he came to village to see her and daughter...to see the whole family...
Love and affection become too brief through emails and phone calls...at the sametime if love exist what is the need of explaining it or elaborating it?It is safe within your minds.....it emerges in your words and actions....sometimes openly...
.sometimes secretly.....
He gave permission to join the nursing course.though she got duty in the seventh ward .she asked for eighth which was filled with a lot of patients ..a lot of cases....which helped her in her studies...comfortable to study...comfortable to serve....
she tried to console her daughter and gave her food and kept her in the hands of her mother and went out.she and her father lookafter her the whole day bywhich they found some enjoyment!
In her early years of studies she had an ambition to serve human race.so she took nursing as her profession. she was in her early twenties....a long years of service in front....
That day also some patients were admitted because of fever in the eighth ward but she was in the seventh submitted request to get duty in eighth after a week her request was sanctioned and entered in eighth ward.
That night a patient with severe fever asked her to give some water.He had acute fever ,head ache and sour throat...she gave injections for lowering pain and temperature
while checking the temperature and pressure he asked"what about my fever?I am very much tired...admitted a week back...too weak....shall I recover?
liza console her"why not?"I gave you medicines to come down the temperature.....These medicines are for fever..."
"I feel no progress,sister; weakening day by day...body ache...some problems to my brain...mind! what is happening I don't know!
Nursing student liza took a chair and sit by his side and asked about the case history!
she said"one serious fever case was sent to district hospital suspecting nipah virus...but the sample result were not accepted yet for confirmation.but his stage is reported critical!
He asked "what happened to me?"
she said"you are just like my brother....fever now-a-d
ays take weeks to recover..most of them are viral fever...so don't bother...relax....we are giving you medicines...Doctors here are ready to treat you...nurses here are ready to give you necessary advice and serve you...nothing will happen!
she take necessary check ups and asked to change the bed sheet...give him water and observed and attended the whole night...
In the next day morning he was drawn to a serious condition and stepped to death...
when she heard the news of his death liza was in a miserable condition...she understood that she also had body ache and fever...she herself asked for admission as a patient...
The next day newspapers reported the confirmation of nipah virus to the patient in the district hospital and then the patient in her hospital as second victim!
without the information from anyside she found herself a victim...but expected to get cured...
The medicine ribavirin was given to her but she can't resist ...immunity lessens...for about a week...with collapsing brain and collapsing mind she said to other students that she feels sinking somewhere....she asked them to see her husband and daughter!..she imagined their meeting lifelessly....but they can't...meet together....
even a minute ...by which death waiting aside!
Words are not powerful to say.....Time is not longest to reach....Mind is not strongest to convey....Love!....from the death bed...from that unexpected end!
