cover the spread
If you've read any of my comedy bits, you know I'm not the kind of person who complains about things. However, there is something that's grating my cheese a bit, and i think it needs to be addressed. First of all, I am pro prevent the spread. Prevent the flu. Prevent the covie8.675309, prevent the stupidity...
I have no issue with people wearing their poptarts to stay safe. In fact, I'm for it. However, it's a tad bit exaggerated. And i know there are some people out there who aren't going to like this, and I politely invite those people to just shut the fuck up and listen for a minute. I saw people gathered outside at a restuarant sitting close enough to each other to conceive a child, and they were wearing masks. As they ate and drank, they would pull the mask down, take a bite of their over priced grocery store pasta, then pull the mask up. Now, couple of things.... this is idiotic.
I need to analyze this here. Okay, so we have people, who i assume are partly educated, dining out in a pandemic. Whilst preventing the spread with masks!
Now, because this is so extreme and exaggerated, i feel i should be able to be the same way. Monkey see, monkey do. At a public place, even outside, you are in close contact with others, even those in your close circle. Are you 100% sure the waitress or waiter wiped the table down? With lysol? Which, i might add only kills 99.9% of germs. You actually are constantly at risk, even with lysol. A 0.001% chance of catching something. Is that right? I'm not sure. I'm not a math magician.
Anyway, you're also eating off a public fork. Yes, a public fork. No matter if it's washed or not, you're putting something in your mouth anyone in the city could've scratched their crack with because they didn't care about disgusting it up due to it being a public fork. Another thing...
If you are super concerned about not catching or spreading a disease or infection, perhaps maybe a restaurant is not the place to be. Perhaps maybe stay home, cook a frozen pizza, watch gilmore girls and do your part. I'm not sure what the danger is here.
Is it the virus or the people? I never thought stupidity was contagious, but there's a lot of evidence it very well may be.

Stay Ridiculous.
