Chapter 1: Best friend crisis, early in the morning.

As I tap the surface of the ground beneath my feet with my shoes, I enumerate the number of times I fell for this even though I knew she wouldn't drop in here. Rae was supposed to meet me at the grapeyard this morning, but as usual, just as I anticipated, she didn't show herself.

My legs kept aching for standing so long, under the scorching sunlight and my skin burned. If I receive blisters, I'm killing her.

I try calling her... once... twice... thrice...
As assumed, no response. Instead, her voicemail greeted me.
Frustrated, I nearly throw the phone but I manage to calm myself almost quickly.

Something must happened to her or she's still asleep and I found myself believing the latter option.
Only few people were jogging across the yard, onto the main street as there were no signs of cars.
The morning was as usual with the sun donating it's burning rays onto our backs, faces, hands and many more. The blue sky was streaked with blend-in moisture of red and orange with a hint of yellow. I would have admired the nature if I was a morning person and if I wasn't stood up...
