The mouse crept through the silent house in search of its nightly meal. It's ears pricked at the scream, causing it to stand on its hind legs to spot the source. When the body came crashing down, it scampered away with its tiny heart beating fiercely.
It was the rude Human ,beating his wife again.The mouse was disgusted by the Rude Human.Hiding under the Sofa,he could only watch the woman struggle to get up.
She was battered.But she still stood up.
But there was something different today,the woman was not crying.She seemed very different today,the way she stood up,her face shows determination.
Determination, something the mouse hadn't seen in the many times he witnessed this.
The woman was now speaking.The mouse couldn't possibly understand what it was,but he was sure she was speaking by the loud voice he could hear.The rude Human now looked beyond angry,he was furious.
The Rude Human lifted his hand to hit the woman again.But before his sinful hand reached the woman,the woman had stopped his hand and with all her might pushed him back into the wall.The Rude Human who hadn't expected this ,crashed into the wall and collapsed on the floor.
The mouse now thought he should continue his journey to find food,after all that's what he came out for.Crawling out of his hiding place ,he made a run to the kitchen.
The woman however, hadn't escaped out of the house yet,she was on the phone.
Not long after , men dressed in khaki coloured uniform rushed in and carried the 'Rude Human'-Her husband ,away from her.
The woman was now free.Free from the regular torture, she was free from the man who was supposed to be her husband,who was supposed to care for her,love her.
She felt empowered ,for the first time in so long.She had given up so much in her life for that one Man ,who treated her like dirt.
Now that she had built her courage again,she decided that she will not let this feeling of empowerment go.She will live for herself again and also help other helpless women like her.
She is a True Hero.
Hero of her own life.
