The Passenger
She's been a hell of a driver. The one who always put people's weight on her shoulder. The one who carries the burder of those she loves and navigates her emotions to send people on their way to their respective destinations. She's been guiding hearts to their happiness. Been using her fuel to support those in need. She's been like that for the longest time. She believes that it was her obligation to drive them home. Or to whatever place they all deserved to be. She's been actively riding the tide of life to manuever her surroundings. Her peers. But then she came to her stoplight. And started to get lost. That's when she realized that it wasn't her sole purpose to serve people all the time. She has to rest. And she did.

She left her vehicle of fate and forget her steering passion. She decided to hop in and just enjoy being a passenger. She allowed life to take her to her destination instead. Sure, it's a bumpy road. Not the kind of road she'd prefer to travel if she's the one steering the wheel. But she said it's okay. She doesn't need to pay more attention this time. She can calmly watch the scenery while life navigates itself. She's just having her moment for herself. And when the ride is over, she'll pick herself again.

Life is not supposed to be an easy ride. And no one knows what the destination really is until someone reached it. And now she's on her way there. With herself, a bagge of faith and a little hope of sand at the end of her journey. That'd be nice. That's all she expects to have. A little scent of the ocean and a beautiful sunset to bless her heart and sole. And she can have her rest for a little while.
