The night was dark ....the rain fell hitting the roof . Sofie sat by the couch staring out side the window ...not saying word or looking away

"Sofie honey ..I made some short bread ...wanna try " Mrs Adams said with a rather pale smile on her face . She waited but sofie neither looked at her not said a word ....
Her hands began shaking ..

Dropping the tray to the ground then falling on her knees weeping

even with all her screams sofie didnt flinch ..it only crumbled her poor mothers heart
