Thank you
Thank you my love.
Once upon a time, I was broken beyond repair. Cast aside into the shadows. I was alone. So I found a sturdy ground. Then I added a brick. I put some cement then added another brick once more. I repeated this until I was surrounded by my sturdy walls, safe from the pain and heartache. I was not happy, I never thought that I would be happy ever again. But I was safe.
But then you came. You came with a mighty axe and cut my haven down. You watched as it crumbled. You held me and whispered sweet things to me, telling me that everything was going to be ok. You held me in your arms as I breathed in your calming scent, and you kissed my forehead. I felt safe once more. I am happy, joyful . . . thank you. Thank you for being there for me. Through my battles and my bad days. Your faith in me never once faltered. Thank you. I love you.
