Ruhs was a promising politician. Everyone agreed he had a great career ahead of him. He was a champion of women rights. He was married to his life long best friend and sweetheart Kili. One night after having dinner at a famous restaurant the couple returned home. Kili went to bed after changing into her nightgown. Ruhs made some work related phone calls and turned on the eleven PM news. A few minutes later he got a phone call. After finishing the call he got up, went to the kitchen, took the chef’s knife and entered the bedroom.
When his consciousness returned he realised that he was holding a bloody knife. He tried to comprehend the situation. The scandal could ring the death of his career. The naked woman in his bed lay with unseeing eyes staring at him. He stood over her with a knife in his hand and no memory of who she was or why he had killed her.

The office was quiet. Mayi walked to her boss’s door and knocked on it.
“Come in.” said a melodious voice.
Mayi opened the door. An old, frail looking man was seated on a high leatherback chair.
“Doctor Spacebar. Thank you for accepting my appointment on short notice.” Mayi said.
Spacebar smiled. They both knew why he entertained her on such a short notice.
“Carry on.” Doctor said.
“Yes Doctor. Based on the recently concluded test, we can assert that the drug M works as expected. The success rate has been one hundred percent on 1133 subjects.” Mayi said in a rehearsed tone.
“Can you show me some proof?” Doctor said.
Mayi took the small coin she was holding in her hand and gave it to Spacebar. When Spacebar placed the coin on a particular spot in the table, the room darkened and a presentation lit up one of the walls. An image of Ruhs came up.
“Doctor. This is subject M_00029847. He is a very mild mannered man, happily married, no record of violence one of our challenging candidates. Yesterday our agent slipped drug M into his drink. That night our automated machine called him and asked him to kill his wife.” Mayi paused.
Spacebar made a gesture. The video started. They both watched intently how Ruhs/M_00029847 murdered his wife.
“Where is he now?” Doctor asked.
“He is with us. When his consciousness came back, he was overcome with guilt. He wouldn’t stop crying. We had him picked up from his home and admitted in one of our hospitals.” Mayi said.
Spacbar was quiet for some time. Mayi was starting to feel uncomfortable. She was not sure whether she should leave or stay.
“Thank you. You may leave now.” Doctor said.
Mayi rose from her chair and smiled politely before turning and walking to the door.
When she closed the door she burst into giggles in happiness. After several years she had finally got the audience with her idol.
“What are you laughing about?” asked a voice politely.
Mayi did not notice the visitor in her excitement. He was a regular looking guy with a couple of small horns in his head.
“Nothing.” Mayi said and walked away cooly.
The visitor knocked on the door and entered inside. Mayi noticed that the visitor had a long tail with a trident. She had seen a lot of strange people around here so she went about her business.
The visitor entered the Doctor's office. He bowed politely.
“Doctor. I can’t express in words what an honor it is for me to meet you in person.” said the visitor.
“Do you have an appointment?” Doctor asked.
“Yes Doctor.” the visitor replied.
“Pardon me. What is your name?” Doctor asked.
“The Devil.” the visitor replied.
“Yes. Alright. Please have a seat.” Doctor said.
The devil sat down.
“I have something incredible to show to you.” the devil said.
Spacebar had heard this a lot previously. It did not excite him.
“Please go on,” Doctor said.
