The Andromeda-Our nearest galaxy
The Andromeda galaxy is our Milky Way's closet Neighbour. It is the most distant object in the sky that you can see with your unaided eye, provided the sky is dark and clear. This beautiful spiral Galaxy is 2.5 million light years away. Though Milky Way is itself a spiral Galaxy,Andromeda would be the best candidate to study spiral galaxies in their full picture. In recent years, scientists have Undertaken detailed studies of black holes, stars and other objects within the Galaxy.
Andromeda contains concentrated bulge of matter in the middle, surrounded by a disc of gas, stars and an immense halo. Andromeda is very vast and more populous than our Milky Way, with approximately a trillian stars against Milky way's 250 billon. but surprisingly milky way is more massive than Andromeda thanks to its greater dark matter content.

Now Curious fact!
