Chapter 7: Clearly Misunderstood
//Previous//
"Umm... Dominic", a soft voice hesitantly speak up in the middle of chaos.
Dominic turns his frozen face towards the entrance and much to his horror finds Lily standing there.
//Present scene//
(3rd POV)
A deafening silence fell over the living room. Dominic remain frozen lying on the floor with a green hair teen almost covering him. His eyes widen slightly otherwise he looks almost calm.
The green hair teen also look towards the entrance hall. His brown eyes almost pop out of their sockets. His mouth hung open, looking almost comical.
Lily snaps out from her stupor when she felt two pairs of eyes looking in her direction.
"DOMINIC I'M SORRY! I didn't mean to inter-rupt you guys...y-you seee the frontdoor w-as o-open.
I tried calling YOU outbutyouwerenotanswering. SORRY!", Lily clutters out and blushes furiously.
She turns on her heels and run out the entrance hall. Dominic quickly puches off the green hair teen since he was in shock state and run out right after Lily.
"Wait Lily", Dominic almost yells out in urgency. He catches up to Lily and grab her wrist firmly but gently.
"Lily...it was not like what you saw in there", Dominic said trying to look down in Lily's eyes but she refuses to meet his gaze.
"I... I get it Dominic. You don't need to lie to me. I don't have issues with same sex relationship if you're worrying I'll stop talking to you.
And I promise you I'll not tell anyone about this not even Beth. You can tell others when you're ready on your own. You can be rest assured", Lily said gulping down, her hands kept shaking.
Dominic groan out looking close to exhaustion. He let her wrist go but instead grab her shoulders. Lily's head snap up, her eyes widen in uncertainty.
"As I was saying what you saw inside is not what you're thinking. Don't just assume things on your own.
Besides it was that idiots fault. He jumps me suddenly and I lost my balance, that's it. I told him to get off but he seems to be somewhat rather deaf and childish", Dominic grumble out, glaring in the apartment.
"Hey don't talk about me like I'm not here. A best friend never say bad stuff about a friend like you're doing", the green hair teen whines out; he was making his kicked puppy face.
Dominic and Lily sprang apart 1 meter from each other at the whining sound. They both look in the doorway to see green hair teen walking out into the hallway.
"Oh! Didn't know you've a girlfriend Dominic. Sorry you must have freaked out seeing a guy lying on your boyfriend", green hair teen said rubbing his head, grinning apologetically at Lily.
"HE'S NOT MY BOYFRIEND", "I'M NOT HER BOYFRIEND".
They both yell out simultaneously. Then they both realise how well in sync they were. They both look away- Lily blushing furiously while Dominic's cheeks turn slight red.
"Opus, sorry about that hehehe. But I think you guys will make nice couple. By the way I'm Orion Miller, Dominic's middle school best friend. Nice to meet you", Orion said grinning; he give out his hand for shake.
"He's not my friend", Dominic grumbles out. He instantly glare down at the hand shaking with Lily's right one.
"Hii, I'm Lily Collins. Nice to meet you too. I'm glad Dominic has a friend like you", Lily said smiling gently at Orion.
Orion quickly drew his hand back to his side making sure it doesn't look rude. 'Phew right in time. I thought I'll loose my hand today. But things are looking quite interesting'.
"Oh my god! I just remembered I need to pick up my sister from her music class. I'm gonna go before she snitch me out to my mom.
Bye buddy, and nice to meet you Lily. I hope you won't mind dropping here time to time. I'll try not to be third wheeler.
Enjoy your date", Orion said winking at them. He then rushes out leaving them standing alone in the foyer.
