First Attempt
It was a cold and windy night. A perfect night to stay at home and be caught off guard by the unexpected.

Unaware of the 'tragedy' which will soon befall me, i continued to stuff my mouth full of leftover popcorns from yesterday while watching a late night show which absolutely bored the crap out of me.

Not the best experience i have had although deep down i knew that there was never really a best one. My daily routine had always been rather dull and mundane.

'A late night show which no viewer would ever tune in' was how i used to describe it.

'Knock knock'

I was startled.

It was not something which i hear everyday and i had to admit that it freaked me out a little bit.

The knocking continued with force stronger than the ones before, telling me that the 'thing' behind the door did not like being ignored.

I quickly got a hold of myself, grabbed the closest 'weapon' within my reach and slowly approached the door or rather, the 'thing' behind it, that was starting to drive me crazy.

I leaned myself against the wall next to the door and asked:

'Who's there?'

Suddenly, the knocking stopped. Ironically, that drove me even crazier than before. I tried asking other different questions and even threatened to call the cops.

Still no response.

'Must have been the obnoxious kids living next door who were playing pranks with me', i thought.

But then i realized that they would be staying home as well instead of pulling pranks in such an unlovely weather.

I started freaking out again after just a brief moment of relief. After calming myself down, i mustered up all the remaining courage left within me and busted open the door.

There was no one.

The sun was scorching hot out there, no where close to the kind of weather i have imagined.

I was bewildered yet extremely pleased by the sight of everything outside.

Tears started falling from my eyes as if they have witnessed the most beautiful thing in ages.

Remember when i mentioned that i wasn't sure of the best moment in my life?

It was at that moment when i was fully certain,

'The moment when i made my first attempt to step out of my comfort zone after god knows how long has it been.'
