SNEAK PEAK!!!

...I struggled to stand, but his weight held me in place.

Seconds later, I felt a razor-sharp blade slowly making its way into my body. I bit my lip to keep from screaming as it sank deeper into my back, one inch at a time.

He laughed humorlessly, but didn't speak. The blade continued to dig its cruel path. Finally, I just couldn't take it anymore. I cried out in agonizing pain.

He thrust the blade deeper. I released an ear-shattering scream. Barely breathing, I thrashed against the weapon. I was that desperate for relief. He chuckled and withdrew the knife. Blood flooded from my back and seeped into the ground, soaking my clothing.

"Well, Taylor," He said into my ear in a deceivingly gentle tone. "I pinned you. Game. over."

I collasped, nausiating pain erupting from my body. His boot still lodged between my shoulderblades, Midnight drew my arms behind my back and cuffed my wrists. Without warning, he jerked me up and led me out of the stall.

"She's yours," He said, shoving me to my father. "for now."

My breath caught as he grabbed me, putting his hands on my throat. "I have been waiting so long for this moment. Time for your final punishment, Justice."

I sighed and dropped my eyes to the ground, not bothering with an insult.

"God," I begged silently. "please let it be quick. Please."

Justice Taylor isn't worried when she is asked to be a Texas Ranger. Bring down some drug dealers, knock out a killer or two, just kid's play. That is, until a serial killer decides to have a little fun with her.

After discovering the body of a teenage girl in the middle of nowhere, Justice is lurched into the case of her life.

More bodies turn up, and this young Texas Ranger is forced to fight for her life as the killer sets his deadly sights on her.

When she comes face to face with the culprit... and her past... will she survive his deadly clutches, or will the spark of justice be extinguished?
