The Draca Chronicles: Origins (Chapter 4: Reunion)
The journey was long but Drayconia was finally home. The twins were tired but excited as they had not been around any family ever. They knew they had an older sister but had not met her. So they couldn't wait to get there. Somehow everyone in the village knew Dray and the twins were coming. She suspected Konna had informed them. The outermost part of town seemed quite and empty. The buildings were damaged badly. She imagined it was from the war. A woman was in front of them smiling brightly and warmly. She seemed very welcoming as she motioned for them to follow her.
Once inside the mansion the twins were taken to be fed and Dray was lead into the library were she saw her aunt Imogen standing by the fireplace and a little girl of ten sitting in a rather large arm chair reading. Imogen turned at the sound of the doors and the little girl looked up from her book. The child smiled happily as she set the book to the side and bounced from her seat running to Dray enveloping her in a huge hug. The girls reaction told Drayconia exactly who she was. "Konna..." She hugged back as tightly as she dared. She'd always dreamt of getting Konna back and now that she was in her arms she couldn't bring herself to let her go. Her aunt watched and smiled before saying, "Draycon is dead and so to are his ways. We can now rebuild in the way our Lady Ardeth had once foreseen her children living. The school is still intact but there will be changes. I know you want this as much as we do." Dray nodded with a blissful smile upon her face.
Life did indeed get better from then on. Male and female vampires were from then on equal as they had been before Draycon took over. They rebuilt and their lives were better for it. Humans after that war knew about vampires but it didn't change anything. They understood that the point of the war was to remove the negitive elements from power. So now they have been being treated far more fairly. This made them not care to much about it.
