A wet leaf fell on her shoulder making her jump in fear. Startled she shifted from her hiding place behind the bush
It's been days she's escaped from her abductors
She's been roaming about in the bush hoping to find her way
but it seems everywhere looks the same
She had gone about as usual, when she heard footsteps...
She won't let whoever it was take her by surprise and return her to that basement, never!
Never again will she allow whoever it was to take her,so she decided to cover her delicate frame with the leaves around her
and holding her breath, she remained as still as she could
albeit listening with rapt attention as if her life depends on it
Of course,her life depends on it!
She's rather die than go back to that basement...
Few days ago...
Lara,the only daughter of the billionaire in the community was busy with her swimming lessons,
She had only swam few feets when she lifted her head to take a deep breath only for her to see the lifeless body of her tutor hanging on the ceiling
Befuddled and afraid,she swam deeper into the water in order to hide from the perpetrator
Then she began to hear voices and foot steps approaching
"She was right here"
"That girl couldn't have escaped,let's search around"
"If it's the Lara I know,she'd be deep beneath the water by now"
and before she could say 'jack Robinson', she felt a big arm around her,forcing her to take in more water than normal and just when she thought she would die, the darkness welcomed her!!
She overheard them saying that they'd just keep her till her father signs the documents and hands it over since he's been proving stubborn all the while
She was kept in a dark basements for 3 days now and she's refused to eat or drink anything offered to her (after all she's fasted more days than that)...
She's been praying (just like her parents had taught her) and this morning as she was praying, her chains supernaturally fell off her hands and the door to the basement opened on its own and before she knew what was happening ,she found herself going round the forest .
Now...
The footsteps were approaching
and just as she was about struggling, a strong arm held her still and the man said "I'm the secret agent assigned to rescue and I'm here to save you"
And after some minutes of breathing to calm herself, she looked up to see the face of her
"prince in shinning armour "
Who her father in heaven must have sent to save her and remembering the story of "Paul and Silas" and even "Peter", she followed him while silently praising his name all the way.
