The Thread Of Destiny (part one- The sneak out)
In the gray of night, a boy, wrapped in a blanket, shivered with fever on his 13th birthday. Alone and waiting for his parents, his phone rang-an old man's voice asked, "Is it Michael? The last generation of Lorents's Family?" Confirming his identity, the man revealed he was a police officer and delivered the heartbreaking news about his parents' fatal car crash. In disbelief, the boy asked again, only to hear the somber assurance that an ambulance would arrive shortly.
Stunned by the devastating news, the boy's phone slipped from his trembling hands. Frozen in grief, he couldn't bring himself to move until the distant wail of the approaching ambulance pierced the heavy silence. In the somber atmosphere, tears streamed down Michael's face as he faced the ambulance driver delivering the heart-wrenching news of two lifeless bodies. The driver, empathetic, asked Michael about the funeral arrangements. Michael's voice broke as he spoke. Noticing his high temperature, the driver checked and found that Michael was suffering from a fever. Concerned, he prepared a cup of coffee and escorted Michael to bed. Despite the care, Michael appeared weary, prompting the driver to share the tragic situation with a well-known priest. The compassionate driver took care of the funeral with the help of priest. Despite Michael's reluctance, authorities decided to send him to an orphanage. Resisting the offer, Michael found himself coerced by the police. Determined to escape, he packed his belongings and left a letter for the ambulance driver. Sneaking through the forest near his house, Michael felt lost at one point. His flashlight went out, and the next step felt precarious as if he were descending from a hill. Overwhelmed by the height, he eventually fainted.
