A Letter Before Death

The noise was too loud, almost as if someone was using a drill machine in his head. He craned his head to relieve the cramp in his neck. When he couldn’t move he realized where he was; in a coffin deep in the confines of an airplane.
He screamed “Is anyone out there? I’m stuck can you please help me?”
He waited to get a reply from the other side but didn’t get any. He tried to knock the surface of the coffin but wasn’t able to move his body.
In despair, he closed his eyes, saw the moment he spent last with his wife. The dining room of his house is decorated with shiny and dim lights, the table covered with rose petals and a bouquet lying on the side of his 2nd-anniversary cake.
His wife came down from the stairs in a wine silk off-shoulder gown; she ties her hair in a bun with flips in front. He gazes at her as it is his first date with her.
His wife came and hugged him tightly.
He whispers in her ear “Happy anniversary Darling” You’ve made my years beautiful since the day you entered. I love you and will always love you till my last wish.
His wife memorize today he went out for his appointment with the doctor and she asked “How is your health?”
“Let’s celebrate,” He said holding her hand to avoid the conversation.
She cut the cake grabbing his hand, dance on the floor to her favorite song.
He brings champagne to the table to celebrate the special day of his life with the special person. He pours in glasses and did a love-shot with his love.
A smile came to his face as he reminds the last day of his life has fulfilled his death wish.
As the doctor said, “His Kidney disease has turned into worst and can’t be treated with medicine or operation.”
He relaxed in the coffin and murmured, “I didn’t realize it will be my last day yet, I wish you’ll read the letter I left for you.” I hope you’ll live with my memory in your heart and keep my love forever with you "darling".
