STRENGTH IN TOGETHERNESS

‘Can’t you drive faster than that’, I shouted at the top of my voice, I was on my way back home from Warri, uncle mark received a call that someone has spotted ava and called matt and I, so I drove to Oyo a day before, I picked matt and Sophia and now we are on our way to Lagos, we left as early as 4:30am and its 12:00pm and still on the way, I called uncle mark and he had seen ava, he took her inside mama dure's house and locked her to prevent an angry mob from engaging in jungle justice….
We stopped and lodge at a hotel as about 7:00pm, so that we can rest up and in the morning we arrived at mama dure's compound, the mob were not there anymore, uncle mark opened the door and there we saw ava, looking all rough and shaken and un-kept, I walked up to her, tears in my eyes and one questions on my mind, ‘ why didn't’t she tell me earlier?, what was going on?, she kept apologizing, tears flowing down her cheeks, matt cleared his throat and asked her, where she has been since all this time….
She said when uncle mark, told them about rex and that he was close to figuring out who murdered mama dure, she knew she had to leave, so she told matt that Mrs bolaji sent for her and she left, she went to a convent and stayed with the nuns and priest for a long time, she confessed her sins and she had to come to terms with what she has done, so she came back to face us, but still I had one question running in my mind is how mama dure knew something bad would happen on Monday and then I drew courage and asked.
Ava sighed and told us all that happen that Monday morning, matt had gone for lectures and me to work, she was at her masters shop and when it was 10:00am, her master sent her out on an errand but instead she went straight to mama dure's...
