Failure to Pay Attention
The way that a person says something is important. Let me relate to you a situation that occurred on a blustery day somewhere in the Carpathian mountains.

It was nearly morning and I stood in the vestabule with my significant other. It had been a rough night, with neither one of us getting much sleep.

I believed that this was a new day and the words said would have been better left unsaid on both sides.

We prided ourselves on the fact that just as we had done in the past, we would say "I'm sorry to each other," then move on to better things.

I should have seen the look on her face, you know the look, don't you. Well, it was there and I failed to notice it. That was my downfall.

As I said, in the beginning, "the way a person says something is important." I fully understand this now.

As I lay here in a puddle of slowly oozing life's blood, I realized that I should have said, "hey, hand me that knife, instead of, throw me that knife.

"Why officer, it was an accident. He said, "throw me the knife." "I did just what he asked. It's not my fault that he cannot catch."

"I believe that you are right. You may go young lady." Said Officer Blarney.
