During the last Coiltea millennium, there had been complete peace, until the orcs reappeared, claiming lands that did not belong to them. They invaded lowlands, midlands, and highlands; there was no dry place that could resist them. The only lands that resisted the orcs were the submerged lands, the reason being that the orcs were poor swimmers and due to their low intelligence, were not capable of creating a means to reach them.
Among the lands usurped by the Orcs were the forests, which were inhabited by the forest herders and the ents. The latter had been asleep for a millennium, being cared for and protected by the herders.
