Abscond the darkeness ( Chapter - 22 )
Author's P.O.V.

Julia was visibly shocked all kinds of questions invading her mind , who could've dared to hurt the king and how? She looked at the Duke and spoke in a low tone while frowning in confusion.

"But how dad?"

The Duke sighed frustratedly and shook his head slightly pressing his forehead with his fingertips somewhat visibly worried.

"That's what I am trying to figure out , how and who did it?"

Julia's P.O.V.

He spoke in his low and husky voice and I could hear the slight worry in his words and tone when he spoke and I frowned feeling worried too. Not wanting to disturb him I took my leave and was walking in the corridor frowning and thinking when suddenly someone hugged me from the back and a soft chuckle escaped my lips.

"Ishanvi"

I spoke in a low tone and she finally let me go , I turned around to see her and hugged her smiling and feeling happy all of a sudden . She is my bestfriend, I met her when I was 8 years old she is dad's right hand man's daughter , who is the court official of the royal palace .

"Tumhe fursat milgyi mujhse Milne ki? Mujhe lga nawaab saahiba Hume bhool chuki hai."
(Did you finally get a chance to meet me? I thought Nawab Sahiba had forgotten us.)

I spoke sarcastically to her and she simply chuckled to my words and I pulled back from the hug and folded my hands , raising an eyebrow and looking at her , to which she visibly seemed a bit nervous but simply sighed.

"Ab aise mat kaho , tum bhi toh AA sakti thi mujhse milne ."
(Now now don't speak like that, who stopped you from coming to meet me?)

She spoke and I halted but then glared at her I really find her annoying sometimes it's quite obvious because she has answers to everything , I sighed and shook my head.

"Stop this blame game now." - Julia

"And who started it?"- Ishaanvi

"Maaf krdo meri maa mujhe , bhool hogyi humse." - julia
(Pardon me Mam , I made a mistake)

I spoke joining my hands in front of her sarcastically and sighed to which she laughed it off and we both went to the garden to have a long chat.
