What?
This is a short story of the weirdest minute of my life. Don't get me wrong, I've had my share of weird! I saw my share of ghosts before I really even believed in them, was followed home through a forest for several nights by something that smelled dead, and even manged to make it out of our neighborhood park safely on the nights when some guy was raping and murdering women there. That said, I'm pretty used to weird, so this is basically the cherry on top.
It was in my junior year, back in 2009, when I was enrolled in a technical school. I was taking a class in Design Drafting on a sunny day, and trying to figure out how to work the CAT program on my computer when something shiny caught my attention out of the corner of my eye. I turned around, expecting to see someone carrying a pen, or something that just caught the loght from one of the windows. Turns out, I wasn't even close.
There, hovering in mid-air next to the back of my chair, was a small silver ball, about the size of a large marble. It made small, quick movements within ever really moving from where it floated, and was so shiny that it looked more like a liquid than anything solid... I stared at it in disbelief, for what could've been no more than ten seconds -long enough to see the classroom and myself reflected in its sphere- before it made another quick movement and disappeared.
I went back to work after that, and never spoke a word about it until recently. All these years, I had been trying to convince myself that I was crazy, that I could've never seen what I had seen... But I know what I saw, and I could never just forget it, even after all this time. My only question now, is the same one that I've been asking myself for the over last decade. What exactly did I see?
