"I understand", I lied. I had to lie. It was the only way I could be with her after she told me she had a boyfriend and that for us to be together I'd have to respect that.

In the heat of the moment I gave in to my deepest desire; my insatiable hunger for her love and attention. What my naive adolescent mind failed to understand at the time was the imminent heartache and insecurities that would plague our "relationship" from the moment I agreed to the terms of our dalliance.
