CHRISTMAS

***********CHRISTMAS *************
Christmas, the season to forget all you have been through and embrace one another with cheer in your hearts. It's about wonder and joy.
The colored lights that sparkle like stars, twinkling and dancing around houses, making trees look as if they have wings.
The snowmen and sleighs filled Santa's and gifts, they all shine as if calling to your heart. Filling children with glee and eliciting giggles from their naive souls.

What about those of us who have no family, no one to shower with love? The forgotten ones. The thorn in the sides of society.
We sit in the shadows as we watch the world go crazy with this unholy need to buy expensive gifts, as if that's what love is. They howl with what they have been taught. That the holiday is about getting the world on a silver platter, that things that they will soon forget about and toss aside are the most important things.

The lonely ones, us that have been enshrouded and pushed into the deepest voids can only hold ourselves and wish to be noticed. We don't want toys, phones, laptops or cars. The silent, broken souls only wish to be included, noticed….wanted.
Christmas is no longer about the birth of their Christ, their supposed savior. It's about their greed, their need to be better than everyone else.

Little do you know, as it goes unfelt in your hearts, you already have everything. You're family who loves you, who wants to shower you with all the unneeded. The friends to whom hold you in their hearts and fight with you. Your health and ability to do what many of us can't. Stop looking at what others can buy you, start looking at how lucky you already are.

Some of us have no family to complain too, to cherish. Some of us are alone in the night, left to wonder the earth as if we were already dead. Our wants and needs are left unseen, unknown and uncared about. Where is the wonder that they speak of? Where is the joy? Who is thankful that I am here? Who would notice if this Christmas had one less soul?

Be thankful for who you have, not what you have. For some of us have nothing….no one.
