How to deal with abusive and alcoholic partner
Richa when got married had a lot of dreams and expectations from her partner.  Amit was the man ruling her heart. She always wanted the perfect man who would respect her parents and love her madly and would do anything to save her dignity.
On the other hand, Amit found his perfect match in Richa. Her loving nature, her caring attitude and her self respect was all that made him fall for her everytime he saw her.
Perfect story, isn't it?
But every story has some loopholes. There are instances which lead to stress, depression, panic attacks and when this negativity exceeds the postivity, the person needs to take a step.

So, let's get back to the story.

Amit had a huge loss in business and that happened to be the problem of his depression and inspite of the love given by Richa, he was unable to cope up with it and became a violent drunkard. He use to shout at her even on little talks. It was his daily routine to drink and become aggresive. He use to pick little fights with Richa and fought with her.

Richa tried to discuss the problem with Amit but he didn't pay a heed. She took the first step.
1. Consulted her family. In most of the cases, a woman tries to handle the situation on her own which eventually leads to the magnification of problem. She told about his habit to her in laws and her parents. They came the very next day and tried to convince him which proved to a positive step.

2.Richa stopped blaming her for Amit's problem. Whenever Amit came home drunk, Richa always had thought that she didn't do enough for him that is why he is loving alcohol more than her. The day she stopped feeling this way was the day she felt strong about herself.

3. Richa set boundaries for Amit. Whenever he crossed his boundaries of words, she had left the place and went to other room. This made her feel better and he also stopped abusing eventually.

4.Whenever Amit used abusive words, Richa drew his attention to his words which affected Amit as well. Next day when Amit woke up, Richa told him about his words and yes he didn't accept it but next time, he was a little bit less harsh.

5. Richa found a therapist for her husband
because she knew that was the last thing she could do to help him or else she was ready to leave him. Amit with the help of the doctor, tried hard and got his life back.
