Thousands of years ago the earth was covered with snow and it was so cold that there was no
green left in the trees. The so called humans at that period used skins of animals as cloths, hunted
animals for food, and built shelters from what was available. There lived a group of villagers on
the mountains. It was their ancestors which built their community and made them stay together.
Whenever a child is born it is the responsibility of the whole herd to look after that child.
Every morning men from every family would go down the mountains into the wild for hunting
and fishing on the rivers. Women in the shelters made food , sewed clothes and looked after their
children. Alesandro was a 10 year old boy who was the son of the chief of the village. He
