Not in Service - Part 2
Lesley Grant sat with the headteacher in her office helping the police with their enquiries about the missing school bus and children. "So, Miss Grant. You said the bus went passed you? Are you able to tell us anything more?"

Lesley looked at the police officer and repeated what she had already told the headteacher.
"I was running late and just got to the bus stop in time. On seeing it coming along the road I tried frantically to flag it down. But, either the driver didn't see me or didn't want to see me."

"Did you manage to get a look at the driver?" Asked the police officer.

"Not really, as I have already said. He got off his seat while driving and adjusted the destination on the front of the bus to 'not in service' so I was unable to get a look at him."

"So, It was definitely a 'him'", asked the police officer.

"Oh yeah. Definitely a 'him'". Replied Lesley.

"And seeing the bus go past you, you decided to ran after it?"

"Well, there were no way I would be able to catch it. So, after it turned left at the bottom of my road, I ran through the side streets hoping to meet it. But it wasn't there, so I continued to make my way to school."

"Lesley has a reputation for being late."...
