Wave edge
#WritcoStoryChallenge
The old, treasure chest lay exposed when the storm retreated. Creamy fog blocked the hills from falling into the lens of the telescope he was holding.
the British fleet not very far behind sounded more of trumpets than the whirling water under his ship.
The strom left leaves and rags floating miles into the sea surrounding the hilly island. berries made it a great treat for foot long trouts flying upon each other in the shallow waters.
The tides grew around the ship as if it was already night and moon shwoed off its strength.
"Starboard side".. He yelled and the crew shook alert and got to their stations.
"Make ready the guns, Cap'n.?".. asked the general with sleep piching his lids down urging him to go back to sleep.
"You Idiot, .Look." said the captain grabbing him by the neck and pushing his tensed face beyong the rails of the ship, and twisted it towards the starboard side from where most of the waves shook the ship.
A herd of sharks rushed towards the shore to year apart and feast upon the bounty from the shallows. Hitting against the curves of the ship and raising the tides a couple of feet higher.
He grabbed a glittery slime out of the pile of fish they collected and threw it ahead taunting the sharks and scaring the general at the same time hinting him that his head will be the next to meet the Knives in those jaws.
The last shark flew out of the foamy tides and gulped the fish few feet aways from the Captain's hand.
"Get us to the Shore now" . said the captain near the general's eyes and threw him back on the deck.
Trembling a sum more than those fish in the pile the general ran into the deck limping and tripping and got the crew alerted and ready.
"P..p.. Port" he mumbled. "Row your filthy asses till the island, Cap'n orders". He said.
"But, but the sharks general.. They'll crack apart our rowers, we'll be stuck on that island".. moaned a crew member scared of the lashes he'll face moments later.
"Shut your crack and Row, or you'll get pierced in mid air before we reach shore." growled...
