Remembering Part 3 Casey Bangmar
It was in the summer of 1974 or thereabouts we were all sitting in my concrete built shed that doubled up as the den, we had an old record player, seating and a dartboard, it was there that Phil told us his pen friend Casey from Holland would be arriving the next day, we were all excited as we'd never met anyone from Holland .
Well Casey turned up, a tall skinny lad with blonde hair, he smoked which was something none of us did, we played music and chatted, pretty soon feeling light headed I went outside for some air, it was then everyone said they were going home. Casey came round with Phil a couple more times and the same thing happened, it was revealed that Casey's smokes were not normal roll ups, no wonder we felt lightheaded. The two weeks passed and Casey went home, he didn't return the next year as promised as he was in trouble with the police, he ended up in young offenders prison on drug related offences.
We never saw Casey again but I still wonder about him all these years later.
