Simple yet twisted( Chapter 8-Sunset season)
"But bro if you descend down into this spiral of drug abuse and depression, I'll be shattered.", Ri was on her knees, tears gleaming, her glasses moist, she couldn't hold herself anymore, her brother was dying before her eyes, and she was letting it happen. She was the mother in their siblinghood and she had taken care of her brother, as soon as she reached eighteen.

"Look Ri", Dan said, his words came out inarticulate due to the weed he was chewing,
"I don't even wanna live anymore, without her, life has pretty much lost its meaning", he could not longer hold himself and he broke into fresh tears as Ri hugged and consoled him. She said, "But what about your daughter, bro, remember you had always told me that you'll be the father we never had."

These words struck a cord inside Dan's head. It was when they had been kicked out of their Brooklyn home by their aunt Alicia, to live alone, Dan had inherited money from both Maman and Papa and he used it to live in a cheap one bedroom apartment in Queens. Ri was only 14 back then, but she was strong. At this point she had already fallen for Ran and they loved each other dearly. Dan always wanted to ensure the happiness of his daughter, he cried when she wasn't there, but then he found Ella and most of his troubles dissipated.

Ri took Dan's head onto her shoulder as he began howling, "Maa, I need you maa, where have you gone, why have you abandoned us maa?", while Ri said consolingly, "Here I am darling, not to worry, mama is always here", but Dan couldn't control himself he was having one of his many epileptic fits, he was shaking and his teeth was jittering, Ri was going whiter by the second, and just as her phone rang, Dan's eyes closed.

The End

Note:- Every character of this story is based on a real person, and I don't really give a fuck whether or not you're offended by this since you didn't write it in the first place, call me arrogant, but it is what it is, you can't write, hence you read, and when you don't understand you mal-apropos literary pieces.
