"Trick-Or-Treat"
It stood there.
"Trick-or-treat?" It asked.
Its gaze impaled my heart. Its pupils were pinpoints that kept me glued to the sight of sunken in eyes. Its razor sharp cheeks lifted with a wicked grin. I stammered through whatever thought my mind would fling out of my mouth.
"O-oh, well h-hello there? And, what are you s-supposed to be? I asked.
I fumbled through the black bucket full of candy, gripped as much as I could, and placed it into its sack. For a second, I glanced at its hand. Slender, pale white fingers with sharp, jagged nails clasped the candy sack.
"Thank you." It gurgled.
I watched intently as it slumped away slowly down my walkway. I shut my door as quickly as I could and turned off the porch light. All I could do was stand and stare.
