#WritcoStoryPrompt63
Have you ever encountered a person showing no consideration for others? Write a story on same.

Ali was a young and ambitious driver who worked for a taxi company. He loved his job and enjoyed driving around the city, picking up passengers and earning money. He was proud of his car, which he kept clean and shiny. He always wanted to impress his customers and get good ratings.

One day, he received a call from a woman who wanted to go to the airport. She sounded very anxious and said she had an urgent flight to catch. Ali agreed to take her and drove to her location as fast as he could. He arrived at her apartment building and saw her waiting outside with a large suitcase. She looked relieved to see him and quickly got into the car.

"Thank you so much for coming, I really appreciate it," she said. "I have to catch a flight to Karachi in an hour, my mother is very sick and I need to see her."

Ali nodded and started the engine. He checked the traffic on his phone and saw that there was a lot of congestion on the main road to the airport. He decided to take a shortcut through a narrow street that he knew well. He hoped to save some time and get the woman to the airport as soon as possible.

He drove fast and recklessly, ignoring the speed limit and the traffic signs. He honked his horn at anyone who got in his way and shouted at them to move aside. He did not care about the safety of other drivers or pedestrians, he only cared about getting to his destination quickly.

He turned into the narrow street and saw that it was crowded with people and vehicles. There was a market on both sides of the road, where vendors were selling fruits, vegetables, clothes, and other items. There were also carts, bicycles, motorcycles, rickshaws, and cars parked along the street. It was a busy and lively scene, but Ali did not appreciate it. He only saw it as an obstacle that slowed him down.

He sped up and tried to squeeze through the narrow space between the vehicles. He did not bother to slow down or stop for anyone. He bumped into several carts and bikes, causing them to fall over and spill their contents. He scratched and dented several cars and rickshaws, leaving behind marks of his car's paint. He scared and angered many people, who shouted and cursed at him.

He did not care about any of this. He did not care about the damage he caused or the feelings he hurt. He did not care about the laws he broke or the fines he would have to pay. He did not care about anything but himself.

He reached the end of the street and saw a traffic light ahead. It was red, but he did not stop. He ran through it without looking left or right. He did not see the truck that was coming from the opposite direction. He did not hear its horn or its brakes.

He only felt a sudden impact that smashed his car into pieces.

The woman in his car screamed as she was thrown out of her seat. She flew through the windshield and landed on the pavement with a thud. She felt a sharp pain in her chest and her head. She saw blood dripping from her wounds.

She tried to move, but she could not. She tried to speak, but she could not. She tried to breathe, but she could not.

She closed her eyes and thought of her mother.

She never made it to the airport.

She never made it to Karachi.

She never made it to see her mother.

Ali also screamed as he was crushed by the truck. He felt his bones breaking and his organs bursting. He felt his life slipping away.

He opened his eyes and saw his car in flames. He saw his phone shattered on the dashboard. He saw his ratings dropping to zero.

He realized what he had done.

He realized what he had lost.

He realized what he had wasted.

He regretted everything.

But it was too late.

He closed his eyes and died.

**Moral:**

Selfishness is a vice that leads to ruin.

Consideration for others is a virtue that leads to happiness.
