Joy!
Joy is defined as a feeling of happiness and pleasure. But, we can't relate pleasure to joy as pleasure lasts for a small period of time. Pleasure is just a feeling which is acquired through our senses like beauty of a girl is a pleasure for the eyes of boys, not always albeit ! Similarly, hearing a mellifluous track is a treat to our ears, the fragrance of flowers are gift to our nose and our favorite delectable comestibles makes our taste buds dance in joy!
But do these things are related to happiness??
Do these things give us a feeling of contentment??
Certainly, No is one of our answers. Because one cannot enjoy the taste, the smell for a longer period of time. As the memory of these things remains to our senses only. It cannot be carried to our hearts. Once, the craving for these items are satiated, the effectiveness of these things becomes quite less.
As an adage rightly states that things like love, emotions are felt by our hearts and these are the certain things which brim our heart with joy!
There's no limit to such feelings. As you cannot hold yourself to stop loving someone. A mother can't stop herself from loving and caring his child. No matter how insolent his child is. You cannot stop yourself from admiring your friends achievements as it makes you proud of him/her.
Joy, is not focused on ourselves, or just confined to give pleasure to our senses. It is beyond that. Joy lets your heart gaped to let it enter every beautiful feeling one encounters either by doing good deeds or feeling sorrow who went through some deplorable situations. Your friend's cwtch will boost your moral and your heart at that time would be suffused with joy and contentment.
Joy is a feeling that lasts forever and is not ephemeral!
So, people shouldn't chase pleasure instead they should let themselves free enough from shackles of the senses and enjoy every feeling through their hearts.
Only, that will help us in attaining contentment and through this only our heart will be bristled with the true essence of joy!
