Listless
Fiona was standing at the pearly white gates of church deeply thinking about the next steps of her life. The Sunday service ended a while ago and the crowd has now diminished while only a few people lingered now including her. Soon, the day will begin but Fiona didn't knew what she should do, what's expected of her, what she must do with her life now?
Its been a whole year after her parents passed away, the reason of their death, still a mystery which remains to be known. One day she was ready for a sleepover at her bestie's house with her other two friends and the next day after she's dropped by her bestie's mom she finds them lying on the living room carpet, no blood, no injuries but still lifeless lying unmoving. Doctors say that they both died from a severe traumatic experience which gave them a big shock...but what?
Today, her friends moved away to study in their dream universities and now only she remains. She can't think of anyone in this world she could rely on, she has never known any of her family relatives, if there were any, she was utterly listless on what to do with her life now. Art, which once seemed the ultimate desire of her life now seemed bland while her paintings and sketches were really sot after till now she has also realized the change in her art style which once seemed colourful and dreamy has turned to monotonous and dark, while she was reminiscing all this the high pitched chimes of bells brought her back to reality. And at this point she couldn't define if it really was reality...
In one second she was standing at the gates of church in the next second she now stood in front of a big fortress, totally shocked she tried to gauge her surroundings but she was still unable to recognize the location while it felt like she has stepped on the grounds of a movie setting trying to capture the late fifteenth century with all the costumes people were wearing and moving about without noticing her as if she has turned to nothing but the thin air. She saw an elderly lady moving with a basket on her arm, dressed in a modest gown and tried to catch her attention. When she caught her eye she asked her where she was, the lady gave her an incredulous look and said, "Milady, ain't ye feeling alright, let me get ye back to ye'r chamber" while Fiona was feeling all muddled just followed the lady in the quite intimidating fortress...
