Part 26
     A Tragic Tale


Long ago before Malekai came to stand at my side, his life was different.
It was filled with everything he wanted.
Unfortunate events changed that life forever.

To understand the heartache he carries, one must learn the tragic story behind this ruthless demon.

Malekai's loyalty to me goes back to when he was a young man with a life that he shared with a beautiful young wife.

He had a good job, and were soon to have their first child. He worked hard for his family.
Some nights he worked late hours, and his wife  wanted to surprise him with a basket filled with his favorite food, and drink.

Unfortunately Celeste never arrived.
She was followed, and trapped in a dark area.
Brutally beaten, and raped, and they cared not that she was with child.

A samaritan who witnessed this, recognized Celeste, but was too afraid to confront them, so he ran to inform Malekai of this.

By the time he reached her, she had already been beaten to death, and the rape was so violent, an early labor was inevitable.

The blood loss was too great, even if Malekai had reached her before she took her last breath, there was nothing he could do to save them.

He was shattered, and nothing meant more to him than to seek justice.
Even if he had to be the one to deliver it.
Which is what he preferred.

Malekai knew that the chances of ever finding those involved weren't good. He was blessed, only for those blessings to be ripped from under him in the most cruel way.

He chose to call on me, and had only two requests before he relinquished himself to an eternity of servitude.

His first request was to be set free to bring a deserving justice to all involved in the vicious act that took the lives of his wife, and child.
  Yes, Malekai delivered as he found them all.

One by one he caught them alone, revealing his new, and true nature, giving them a taste of the medicine that they bestowed upon Celeste.

To a demon, there is no limit to how sadistic the punishment can be.

The eyewitness turned out to be the look out while the vicious act was being done. Malekai chose the worst of punishments for his role in portraying himself the good samaritan.
He turned him inside out while still alive.

The second request was that he keep his thoughts private.

  Of course I was reluctant to grant him this, but after closely observing, reading his life, and thoughts, I decided to grant him this request.
However, this did not come without conditions of my own.

Malekai's thoughts were his own, on the promise that he not keep anything of importance from me, and vowed he would inform me.

A good man that was dealt a hand worth shit is now a deliverer of cruel justice.

I certainly don't need to question Malekai's loyalty.
It is one of his strongest qualities, and has always been straight with me.
Which is why I granted his request.
