Life Of People, Chap-2
It had been quite a few months since Rohit started working at SP Gaming. His life was going smoothly. He had a healthy lifestyle, a stable job, a decent amount of money and also encouraging and friendly colleagues. Last month on the date of 25th was his birthday where he treated his colleagues to dinner. He also received the latest version of a smartphone of S company as his birthday gift. His colleagues had noticed that Rohit accidentally dropped his phone, breaking it and never actually bought a new one. He was adjusting with his broken phone. Seeing that, his colleagues decided to gift him something useful to him. Rohit was touched by their behaviour.
As a middle class, Rohit knew the value of money and he had been saving money little by little when he initially started his job. He expenses were not much and he didn't used to spend money on something illogical or on something which was of no use to him. Because of his habit of saving money, he was able to save quite a lot of money after 3yrs in his job. He bought his own home of 2 storeys, with a large bedroom in the far end, a study room to it's right, a hall with sofas and all for relaxing on the upper floor. And on the ground floor were two guest rooms, a big living room, a kitchen and bathroom on each floor. It also had a little backyard and a space for parking his vehicles. Overall it was a pretty decent house.
Once settled in his house, Rohit had called his little family over to stay there with him. He had always wanted to live with his family, not alone. He had his mother, father and grandmother in his family. His grandfather had died when he has still young. Together, they started living in their new home.
Rohit had been improving in his career and giving his best. Many of his projects were a big hit. Sone were flop too or some were not that hit but overall he was growing. He also launched many games which he started making as an experiment. But when he showed his team the idea, they loved it and together they launched many great games, small and big.
One of his greatest hit was a survival fighting game known as "FF Battle Royal" and the character "Dimiter". Dimiter was a witty character with mischievous behaviour. Along with blue hair and one of his eyes shining blue, his attire was a white shirt, black jeans and white sneakers with splash of paint on them showing his mischievous personality. Except these , he also wore few accessories completing his outfit.
Talking about his power, his main power was that he can blow a heavy blast upto the area he can see, causing a heavy damage to the health of his opponents.
Everything was going fine but one day, on the morning of Wednesday, a scream echoed in the house. It was his grandmother. She had gotten electric shock by the water heater rod. As she was quite old and didn't had that much knowledge about all these electric devices, she touched the heating rod when it was still switched on and that too submerged in the water, heating it. Actually it was Rohit's mother who always used to warm the water for her mother-in-law's daily bath. And that day too, she did her daily routine. While the water was still heating, the mother went to do some other work in the kitchen. While she was busy in the kitchen, the grandmother went into the bathroom and the accident happened due to a slight carelessness.
As Rohit was in the office and Rohit's father was always sick , the mother panicked as to what to do. She called Rohit, sobbing, and told him everything. Rohit quickly assured his mother, hanged up on her and called the ambulance. Soon, the ambulance came, the grandmother was taken away to the hospital and admitted there. Because of her old age and already having few diseases, her body couldn't handle the pain and shock. Unfortunately, she died.
The shock was huge. Rohit's mother was
blaming herself all the time for her carelessness and saying if she would have been more attentive, she wouldn't have died. Rohit was also quite in shock because he loved his grandmother too much and loosing her forever and that too in an accident which could have been avoided, he was devastated. Despite being upset, he controlled his emotions to stay strong for his family and consolled his mother, not letting her self-blame.
Days passed. All the rituals of her last rites were done. Everyone in the family were upset and still mourning their loss, but together they were overcoming their sadness.
