The streetlights were dim as the mist enclosed it in its mysterious grip. She peered out of her window into the darkness, was there someone out there or was it her imagination? She saw another flash of movement, and then everything was still. You've been watching too many horror movies, she told herself. She walked back to her bed, the sound of her footsteps masking the sound of a creature opening and closing the door. She eventually fell into a fitful sleep. In the morning, however her fears were reignited when she beheld the scene before her eyes. Everything was in tatters. Her clothes were on the floor, the lamp was overturned, the magazines were ripped to shreds.Was the moving blur last night a burglar? She quickly searched through the mess, looking for everything of value she owned. Nothing was stolen. Frightened and confused, she ran to where her phone usually lay, but instead of finding her phone, she found a note.
Don't try to contact anyone, you can't. I will not let you out of the house, I will let you starve, unless you give me the key. She sucked in her breath. How did this person know she was the key master? Only a member of her family would know about it. They would rather die than give up the key and its secret.
