Recap:- Mr. D Choudhary came to Darjeeling with his son Rohit. There he met Mr.D'Cruz. The next day Rohit was attacked by someone in the head.

I thought of going to the police but then some thing inside me told me not to. I passed the rest of the day by thinking what to do.

I remembered my old days. When I used to be confused about what was right or wrong. Was the accused guilty or innocent?! I used to be surrounded by loads of proofs and had to determine which was true and which was false.....I thought that my life was full of confusion.

Bahadur(the caretaker) came and said that Mr.D'Cruz had come to meet me. I told to bring him in.

Mr.D'Cruz,' I heard what happened to your son. That is why I came here. I think you should know something.'
I said,' What is it ?'. He said,' Do you remember Hari, the one who killed my father in law?'

I remembered him very clearly. He was one of the reason that I doubted my job. Let me be more clear. Ten years ago Mr.D'Cruz 's father in law was murdered. He owned a lot of money and property and had only one daughter( Mr.D'Cruz 's wife). He made a will that all his belongings would be given to his daughter after his death. But his daughter was rather unwilling to take those. She claimed that the property and money to be given to her husband. The will was changed accordingly but her father was killed the very next day and all the jwellery from his house were stolen. Hari used to work in that house and live there so naturally he was the prime suspect of the murder. Even after being severely interrogated by the police he denied the fact. Although many proofs were shown but I could never believe that Hari did that. But I was helpless. The jury found him guilty so I was forced to give him his death sentence.

I replied to him,' Yes. I remember him. What about him?'. He continued,' Well, I think he is back.' I shouted,' Are you mad? He is dead.' He said,' I know. That is what is eating me from inside. I think he is not dead or maybe he is. I am not sure. All I want to say is that I saw him yesterday behind the bushes in my house. He disappeared as soon as I went towards him. I first saw him from a distance but I was sure of the face. I also think he is the one who attacked your son maybe to destroy you or maybe for revenge.'

He left after saying all these. My head was spinning faster than a roller coaster. I didn't know what to do. But what petrified me the most was what I heard after few hours after Mr D'Cruz left.

Was Hari alive or was it something else ?
What did Mr.Choudhary hear ?
Who attacked Rohit ?
