It's up to us™ ~ People helping others help each other
I've been trying to write this article for over a week. I'm complicating it in my own mind. I've been attempting to be a writer instead of who I am. I am Jay Kaz and I want to make a difference. I want to change the world.
Helping Others
~ Help Yourself
It's about taking pride in the content of your character that will ultimately create change. It's about people helping others to actually help themselves. Carrying yourself in a respectable manner, holding true to who you are. Sleeping good at night, knowing that you didn't allow the actions of someone else to dictate what you did next.
A Jay Kaz Perception
~ Ray 180°
I work in the restaurant industry. I work with a young man in his early twenties. His name is Ray. Ray has personality which earns him good tips. He lacks though in being a team player. Leaving tables dirty and wait stations unstocked. He's been working here significantly longer than I have, but still, I'm unsure how he got the position of headwait. Anywho, being young the ‘promotion’ gives him a slight power trip. He acts as tho he achieved bosedom.
At this point, I definitely slipped up in that I had an attitude and allowed his actions to bring me out of my character. Ray showed favoritism to his friends and was rude to the rest of the waitstaff. His server duties were subpar and the added responsibilities of head wait weren't being completed. In my frustration, I decided I wasn't going to help him at all. I didn't pick up not one of his dishes. I did only the work assigned to me and nothing more. The consensus among most of the staff was that nobody was going to show Ray any mercy.

It was about a week later I was walking to work when I realized...
