Child marriage is a Curse .
Ranjita was village girl who was so intelligent.In her village girl's education was prohibited.Evry girl child was married at very early age.But Ranjita's mother was against of it.She used to send her daughter to the town school.Her father was an angry man.He was a narrow minded man.The village people started passing comments to him.He couldn't tolerate their comments.Ranjita's school teachers loved her too much.They helped her providing her books and school fees.
Ranjita's father earned his livelihood by selling vegetables .He used to go early in the morning and returned at night.One day he returned at noon, carrying two big bags full of fruits, sweets and snacks.His wife was highly confused seeing him early at home.She asked the reason.He said that he has arrangedRanjita's marriage.The mother cried so much.She persuaded him not to do so.Her husband didn't listen her.
In the evening the groom party came .The groom was also with them.He was a medical student.He was under the pressure of his parents.So he could not oppose his marriage.The marriage day was fixed.Ranjita stopped going to school.Her teachers came to know it
They came to her house and tried to make understand her father.But her father didn't listen them.
On the marriage day bridegroom party came in right time.At marriage time thr groom guessed that Ranjita was looking unhappy and gloomy.The groom whispered ,whar happened my dear .Tell me the reason,I will solve your problem.Rsnjta whispered too.She told that she wants to study more The groom said ok ,my dear I shall back after ten years to marry you.You have to wait for me.Then he suddenly stood up and stopped the marriage saying that he can't marry an uneducated girl.At this Ranjita's mother became so happy.Ranjita started going to school again.She completed her education.After ten years the groom came back and married her.
From ancient times child marriage is conducted specially in India .Evry educated people say it is a Curse of our society.Many social reformers tried to remove this evil practice from the society.Our government has made many rules and punishment against it.Education has made the people aware in this matter.But we find chid marriage is still conducted in rural areas.Many boys also marry the immatured girls because they get a huge amount of dowry.More awareness , more education and strict punishment is required to remove this practice from the society.Girls need great support to establish themselves.
